FK041, a Novel Orally Active Cephalosporin: Synthesis and Biological Properties. -The synthesis of title compound (VIII) includes the key step preparation of tritylpyrazole (IV) followed by subsequent coupling with acylcephem (VII). The novel cephalosporin (VIII) shows antibacterial activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and is found to be superior active to Haemophilus influenzae compared with cefdinir. -(YA-
