-The fluorination ability of N-fluoro-2,4-dinitroimidazole is tested towards a wide variety of polynuclear aromatics (over 20 compounds). Although the isolated yields are modest, the ease of reagent handling and the simple operation makes this environmentally friendly one-pot method quite attractive for fluorination of polynuclear aromatics. -(LAALI, K.
