-Co3O4 ceramics having 98.3% of the theoretical density are prepared by hot pressing of Co3O4 pellets (800 β€’ C, 30 MPa) followed by hot isostatic pressing (800 β€’ C, 2 h, 196 MPa). Ceramics thus fabricated exhibit a Vickers hardness of 10.3 GPa, a fracture toughness of 4.2 MPaβ€’m1/2, and an electrical conductivity of 33. 5 Sβ€’cm-1 at 800 β€’ C. -(SAKAMOTO, S.;
