✦ Synopsis
Site.
-Depending on the reaction time, indan-1-ones (III) and inden-1-ones (V) are prepared. They are further used to study the active binding site of human aromatase inhibitors. Two compounds (Vb) and (Vc) are good inhibitors of human aromatase whereas they weakly inhibit the equine enzyme.
