Evaluation of Several Fluorinated ATPH Derivatives as Functionalized Lewis Acid Receptors for Conjugate Alkylation to α,β-Unsaturated Aldehydes with Alkyllithium Nucleophiles.

-The 1,4-selectivity in the allylation of α,β-unsaturated aldehydes such as (I) with organolithium compounds in the presence of aluminum tris(2,6-diarylphenoxide) derivatives is remarkably improved with the number of fluorine atoms on the phenoxy ligands. Additionally, the use of diethylether as solvent may enhance the selectivity.
