✦ Synopsis

Enzyme-Catalyzed Formation of (S)-Cyanohydrins Derived from Aldehydes and Ketones in a Biphasic Solvent System.

-The bioagent-catalyzed synthesis of (S)-cyanohydrins is well established. By employing a vigorously stirred two-phase reaction system, chiral cyanohydrins from aliphatic, unsaturated, aromatic and heteroaromatic aldehydes such as (IV) and from ketones such as (I) could be obtained in good yield and optical purity. -
