Enantioselective Hydrogenation of α-Keto Acetals with Cinchona Modified Pt Catalyst. -The title reaction is investigated in more detail also concerning the modifier and the reaction conditions such as catalyst, solvent, temperature, pressure, and modifier concentration. It is noteworthy that corresponding mono-ketals from α-diketones give less than 10% e.e. values (no yields given).
