Enantioselective Conjugate Radical Addition Reactions Mediated by Chiral Lewis Acid Complexes of (R,R)-4,6-Dibenzofurandiyl-2,2'-bis(4-phenyloxazoline) (DBFOX/Ph).

-25 Lewis acids are investigated in the radical addition reaction of isopropyl iodide to unsaturated amide (I) in the presence of chiral ligand (R,R)-Ph-DBFOX. Mg(ClO 4 ) 2 is the only effective LA in terms of enantioselectivity and yield.
