✦ Synopsis
Electrode Performance Test of Single Ceramic Fuel Cells Using as Electrolyte Sr-and Mg-Doped LaGaO 3 . -The title test is performed with a 500 µm thick La 0.9 Sr 0.1 Ga 0.8 Mg 0.2 O 2.85 (LSGM) electrolyte membrane and La 0.6 Sr 0.4 CoO 3-δ (LSCo) and La 0.9 Sr 0.1 MnO 3 (LSM) as cathodes and CeO 2 /Ni and LSGM/Ni as anodes. A relatively high maximum power density is obtained with LSCo and CeO 2 /Ni electrodes. Studies on the reactivity of NiO and LSGM at the anode-electrolyte interface show that with a buffer layer preventing LaNiO 3 formation a better anode performance can be achieved. By use of LSGM and proper choice of electrode materials, SOFCs operating in the temperature range 600 • C ¡ Top ¡ 800 • C should be realizable. - (HUANG,
