-An efficient resolution for the large scale (ca. 100g batches) production of the highly pure enantiomers of alcohol (I) is achieved by crystallization of acid (II) with (S)-and (R)-a-methylbenzylamine. The pure enantiomers of (I) are useful as chiral controllers in the dichloroketene-enol ether cycloaddition reaction. -
