Abstract

The iodoalkanamide substrates undergo 9‐endo iodine transfer radical cyclization to afford an intermediate that can be converted to 9‐membered N‐heterocycles by reduction with Bu~3~SnH or to hexahydroindolizin‐ones when treated with Na~2~CO~3~.
