Direct Synthesis of Metal-Complexed Aromatic Amino Acid Derivatives by Palladium-Catalyzed Coupling Processes.
-The Pd(0)-catalyzed coupling reaction of chromium complexes (I) with the serinederived organozinc reagent (II) and subsequent decomplexation of the resulting (III) provides a useful preparation of phenylalanine derivatives (IV). A similar reaction using the diiodoferrocene provides a mixture of the mono-and bisproduct (VI) and (VII) depending on the educts ratio. -(JACKSON, R. F.
