โฆ Synopsis
Dielectric Properties of Iron Doped Calcium Copper Titanate, CaCu 2.9 Fe 0.1 Ti 4 O 12 .
-The title compound is prepared by evaporation of a stoichiometric solution of Ca(NO3)2, Cu(NO3)2, Fe(NO3)3, TiO2, and citric acid at 70-80 ยฐC, followed by calcination of the obtained gel in air (800 and 900 ยฐC, 6 h each). The samples are characterized by powder XRD, SEM, XPS, and dielectric measurements in the temperature range 300-500 K. Substitution of Fe 3+ at the Cu site in CaCu 3 Ti 4 O 12 drastically reduces the dielectric constant in the frequency range of 100 Hz to 1 MHz. The decrease in the permittivity is attributed to the suppression of the Ca/Cu disorder in the title compound compared to CaCu3Ti4O12, and the absence of the grain boundary internal barrier layer capacitance mechanism. -(RAI, A.
