β¦ Synopsis
Design, Synthesis, and Characterization of a Novel Hexaazacyclophane and Interactions with d(CGCA3T3GCG)2, ctDNA and T4DNA. -The title compound (I), which is prepared from 2,6-naphthalene dicarboxylic acid and (3-bromopropyl)phthalimide, is characterized by X-ray analysis, 1H NMR and fluorescence spectroscopy. Its structural shape is complementary to the major groove of B-DNA. At pH 7.0 the equilibrium constants for the binding of (I) to ctDNA and T4DNA are 1. 2β’105 and 1.8β’106, respectively. Association of (I) to d( CGCA3T3GCG)2 leads to a polymer. -
