Design of New Chiral Tetraol Host Compounds, trans-1,4-Bis(3-(o-chlorophenyl)-3-hydroxy-3-phenylprop-1-ynyl)-1,4dihydroxycyclohexa-2, 5-diene and Its Tetrahalogeno Derivatives.
-It is found that various kinds of racemic compounds such as (II) and ( III) can be resolved efficiently by complexation with the title molecules (I), which are prepared by addition of (R)-(-)-1-(o-chlorophenyl)-1-hydroxy-1-phenylprop-2-yne to the corresponding quinones.
