✦ Synopsis


Deprotonation of Oxazolinyloxiranes. Formation of Substituted Acyloxiranes. -In the presence of sBuLi/TMEDA oxazolinyloxiranes undergo rapid and smooth deprotonation. Subsequent trapping with electrophiles leads to highly substituted oxiranes which can be easily deblocked to acyloxiranes. This represents a novel and efficient method to prepare substituted acyloxiranes which are synthetically useful synthons.
