✦ Synopsis
1997 structure structure (solids and liquids) D 2000 19 -003 Crystal Structure of Na4HP3O10•H2O. -Single crystals of the title compound are precipitated from a 0.4 M aqueous Na5P3O10 solution (pH 4, adjusted with HOAc; addn. of MeOH). Na4HP3O10•H2O crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pbcn with Z = 4. The structure consists of alternating layers of triphosphate anions and sodium cations. The triphosphate groups have C2 site symmetry and are linked by strong O-H bonds (244 pm). -(KINDLER, N.;
