β¦ Synopsis
1998 structure structure (solids and liquids) D 2000 24 -005 Crystal Structure and Magnetic Properties of the Compound Ce 2 Ni 15 Si 2 . -The structure of the title compound is studied by means of neutron powder diffraction at room temp. and at 2 K and shows a rhombohedral Th 2 Zn 17 -type structure (space group Rr3rm). There is a distinct preference for the Si atoms to occupy the Gd site. No magnetic ordering is detected in the neutron diagram. From XAFS experiments it is derived that Ce has an intermediate valence state in this compound. -(ISNARD, O.; BUSCHOW,
