Abstract
An efficient access towards isoindolinones (V) is presented, involving the synthesis of thermally stable carbamoylxanthates (IV) from N‐tert‐butyl‐N‐benzylamines (I), the generation of the corresponding carbamoyl radicals and their cyclization—rearomatization reaction.
