Abstract
Sonogashira cross coupling of (het)aryl iodides (I) and (IV) with trimethylsilylacetylene (II) is successfully combined with Glaser coupling using air as oxidant to give symmetrical diaryldiacetylenes (III) and (V), resp., in a two‐step one‐pot sequence.
