Chemistry of Organosilicon Compounds. Part 334. Intramolecular Oligomerization of Disilalkylene (-Me2Si(CH2)nSiMe2-) Bridged Cyclic Triacetylenes. -Disilalkylene-bridged cyclic triacetylenes (III) are synthesized by coupling of respective dichlorosilanes with bis(ethynyl) Grignard reagents and subjected to transition metal complex mediated intramolecular oligomerization reactions. A variety of Ο€-electron systems such as fulvene (cf. (V)), dimethylenecyclobutene (cf. (VI), ( VII)) and bisallene (cf. (VIII)) are obtained. Structures and some reactions of these Ο€-electron systems are described.
