Catalytic C-Amidoalkylations: Synthesis of β-Amido Aldehydes by Three-Component Condensations.

-The reaction to the products (III) and (VII) is presumed to proceed via the initial formation of an acyl imine intermediate followed by attack of an enolic form of a second equivalent of the aldehyde.
