β¦ Synopsis
C-Glycosides and C-Disaccharide Precursors Through Carbonylative Stille Coupling Reactions. -Suitably protected stannylglucal derivatives (cf. (I)) undergo a carbonylative Stille coupling reaction with the bromides (II) in the presence of Pd(0) catalysts and Ph3As. The reaction is also successful with the iodoglucal (VI) providing the C-disaccharide (VII). Furthermore, vinylstannanes such as (VIII) lead to the carbonylative heterocoupling products (IX).
