-A BMPDyttrium complex is found to be an efficient catalyst for the asymmetric silylcyanation of aldehydes. Aromatic aldehydes, except those with electronwithdrawing groups, show good to excellent enantioselectiviy, whereas starting from aliphatic aldehydes moderate selectivity is observed with reversed enantioface selection. -(ABIKO, A.;
