Base and Cation Effects on the Suzuki Cross-Coupling of Bulky Arylboronic Acid with Halopyridines: Synthesis of Pyridylphenols. -Strong base and large size cation are shown to accelerate the rate and yield of Suzuki coupling of sterically bulky boronic acid with halopyridines.
