β¦ Synopsis
Ba(Pb,Sn)O 3 and Ba(Pb,Ce)O 3 Solid Solutions.
-Ceramic samples of solid solutions Ba(Pb 1-x Snx)O 3 (I), Ba(Pb 1-x Cex)O 3 (II), (Ba 1-y Lay) (Pb 0.7 Sn 0.3 )O 3 (III), (Ba 1-y Lay) (Pb 0.75 Ce 0.25 )O 3 (IV) (0 Β‘ y Β‘ 0.3) and (Ba 0.85 La 0.15 ) (Pb 1-x Cex)O 3 (V) are synthesized by solid state reactions of stoichiometric mixtures of the corresponding element oxides. Solid solutions (I) with x Β‘ 0.7 have a rhombic unit cell, while compounds (I) with x ΒΏ 0.75 possess a cubic BaSnO 3 type structure. Solid solutions (II)-(V) possess rhombic symmetry. A transition of the type metal-dielectric is observed in (I)-(III), while solid solutions (IV) and (V) can be considered as degenerate semiconductors. -(FURALEVA, K. I.;
