Abstract
The title compounds are prepared by solid state reactions of BaS, Bi (or Sb), B, and S in the molar ratios of 1:1:1:3 (graphite crucibles, 1100 K, 10 h) and characterized by single crystal XRD, UV/VIS spectroscopy, and DFT electronic structure calculations.
