Asymmetric Synthesis of Boc-β 2 -homophenylglycine.

-Key step in the synthesis of the title compound, which is presented with a view to the current interest in non-proteinogenic amino acids, is the diastereoselective acylation of phenylacetonitrile with sultam carbonyl chloride (II), prepared from Oppolzer's sultam and triphosgene.
