✦ Synopsis

An Improved Technology for the Hydration of Vinylisopropenylacetylene.

-The effectiveness of the hydration of title acetylene (I) can be improved by changing the ratio of acetylene-water-methanol to (45.5 : 9.0 : 45.5; m/m/m). Additionally, the removal of methanol can be conducted without heating, preventing the polymerization of the reaction products.
