An Expeditious Synthesis of Z-3-Alkylidene Isoindolinones via Combined Palladium Catalyzed and Friedel-Crafts Reactions.

-The regio-and stereoselective synthesis of isoindolines (V) utilizes the Pd-catalyzed reaction between o-iodobenzamides (I) and trimethylsilyl acetylene to give the silylated ethynyl benzamides (III) .
