## Abstract Two new indole alkaloids, bisnicalaterine D(I), possessing an eburnane and a corynanthe type skeleton, and nicalaterine A(II) are isolated from the bark of H.zeylanica. The antimalarial activity of the new compounds as well as that of three previously isolated bisindole alkaloids, bisni
