Adamantylation and Adamantylalkylation of Amides, Nitriles and Ureas in Trifluoroacetic Acid.

-1-Adamantol reacts with amides and urea, nitriles or barbituric acid to yield the corresponding adamantylated products. 1-Adamantylalkanols such as (VI) react under identical conditions.
