Accelerating Lead Optimization of Chromone Carboxamide Scaffold Throughout Microwave-Assisted Organic Synthesis. -Treatment of chromone-2-carboxylic acid with POCl3 and subsequent microwave-assisted reaction of the acyl chloride with aniline derivatives offers a convenient access to the biologically important targets. The method is advantageous with regards to a significant shorter reaction time, lower by-product formation, and simplified work-up. -(CAGIDE, F.;
