✦ Synopsis

A Simple Synthesis of New Carbinols from Bis(2-benzothiazolyl) Ketone.

-The addition of Grignard reagents to the title compund (II) affords the corresponding carbinols (IV) under mild conditions in excellent yields without any side products. Even bulky nucleophiles give almost quantitative yields.
