Recyclization of quinoxalines and aza‐analogues (I) in the presence of o‐phenylenediamines (II) or (V) proceeds smoothly in acidic solution to give 2‐quinoxalinylbenzimidazoles and aza‐analogues (III) and (VI)/(VII), respectively.
