1999 structure structure (solids and liquids) D 2000 16 -012 A Powder Diffraction Study of BaCaGa 4 O 8 . -The title compound is prepared by solid state reaction of equal amounts of BaGa 2 O 4 and CaGa 2 O 4 at 1473 K (96 h). BaCaGa 4 O 8 crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Imm2 with Z = 2.
