A Novel Application of Chloroperoxidase: Preparation of gem-Halonitro Compounds.

-Scope and limitations of the microbiological transformation to the title compounds are presented. Using tBuOOH instead of H2O2 or lowering the temp. to 4 β€’ C has only a minor effect on yield and product distribution.
