## Abstract The synthesis of new 1,3‐dihydroimidazo[4,5‐__a__]acridin‐2‐one and 1,3‐dihydroimidazo[4,5‐__b__]acridin‐2‐one derivatives is reported. The yield and the structure of each isomer were determined by nmr spectroscopy.
