[1,2,3]thiadiazole-6-carboxylic Acid Derivatives via Hurd-Mori Cyclization. -A short and efficient procedure for the large-scale synthesis of the title compound (VIII) from cheap and readily available diacid (I) and thioacetic acid is reported.
