✦ Synopsis
The new chalcogenide material (Li + )2•(H + -DBU)10[In40S66(H2O)8] 12-•2MeCN•8H2O (DBU: 1,8-diazabicyclo[5.4.0]-7-undecene) is solvothermally prepared from a mixture of In(NO3)3, Li2S, NaSPh, 2-amino-1-butanol, MeCN, DBU, and H2O (autoclave, 150 °C, 11 d, yield given in g). It crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pnma with Z = 4 (single crystal XRD). The structure contains octahedral In10S13 clusters, which can be considered as a fragment of the NaCl-type lattice. These clusters are coupled to four In4S10 supertetrahedral T2 clusters and four In3S3 hexagonal rings forming large supertetrahedral In38S65 clusters.
