A Facile Ring Transformation of 4-Oxazolone Derivatives to New Antiviral Imidazo[1,2-a]pyrimidin-7-ones.

-Reaction of 2-aryliminoimidazolines (III) with oxazolones (IV) provides the corresponding Michael adducts, which undergo in situ ring transformation furnishing the new imidazopyrimidones (V) in good yield and excellent diatereoselectivity.
