Abstract
Alkenyl alkynyl ketones (I), (VI), (VIII), and (X) and ketene silyl acetals (II) and (IV) undergo regioselective [2 + 2]‐cycloaddition under thermal conditions, triggering domino pericyclic reactions en route to various poly‐substituted salicylic acid derivatives, such as (III), (V), (VII), (IX), and (XI).
