Abstract

Reaction of spirocyclopropanepyrazole derivative (I) with ฮฑโ€chloro esters (III) in the presence of a NaI/K~2~CO~3~ system results in cyclopropane ring opening and subsequent Cโ€ or Nโ€substitution to furnish dihydropyridazines (IV) and Nโ€substituted dihydropyrazoles (V).
