A Convenient Three-Component Synthesis of Substituted Cyclopentadienyl Tricarbonyl Rhenium Complexes.

-Treatment of rhenium complex (I) with triflate gives an intermediate species which reacts simultaneously with diazocyclopentadiene (II) and nucleophiles such as iodide, carboxylate salts, or free carboxylic acids yielding iodo-and carbonyloxysubstituted CpRe(CO) 3 complexes.
