β¦ Synopsis
A 2-Methyleneoxetane Analogue of Orlistat Demonstrating Inhibition of Porcine Pancreatic Lipase.
-A novel analogue (IIIc) of orlistat is created by substitution of the carbonyl group in (Ic) by a methylene unit. Although the carbonyl group seems to be important for porcine pancreatic lipase inhibitory activity, (IIIc) shows comparable activity to orlistat.
