Abstract

An ecofriendly and economical method for the synthesis of 3‐substituted indoles (IV) (18 examples) via one‐pot three‐component coupling reaction of various benzaldehydes, N‐methylaniline, and indoles using Yb(OTf)~3~‐SiO~2~ as catalyst is presented.
