1997 indole derivatives, isoindole derivatives indole derivatives, isoindole derivatives R 0140 04 -129 3-(Octadecanoylaminomethyl)indole-2-carboxylic Acid Derivatives and 1-Methyl-3-octadecanoylindole-2-carboxylic Acid as Inhibitors of Cytosolic Phospholipase A2.

-Indole-2-carboxylic acid derivatives with a 3-octadecanoylaminomethyl moiety (XI) or with a 3-octadecanoyl moiety (X) prove to be inhibitors of the title lipase. The acid (X) is so potent, that further investigations will follow. Acids of type (VIII) do not show any activity.
