1998 organo-phosphorus compounds, acyclic C derivatives organo-phosphorus compounds, acyclic C derivatives S 0082 32 -226 2-(4-Nitrophenyl)ethyl Methylenebis(phosphonate): A Versatile Reagent for the Synthesis of Nucleoside 5'-Methylenebis(phosphonate)s. -Treatment of the title reagent (IV) with DIC affords a trisanhydride intermediate which is coupled with various nucleic acids to give finally the corresponding bisphosphonates (6 examples).
