(2 + 2), (4 + 1), and (4 +2) Cycloaddition Reactions of Silylated Bisketenes. -The bisketene (I) is found to undergo (2 + 2) cycloaddition with Me-CHO, while with diazomethanes and the olefin (X) (4 +1) cycloaddition takes place. However, it does not react with other electrophilic dienophiles. The bisketene (XIV) also undergoes (4 + 1) cycloaddition with diazomethanes and with nucleophilic alkynes it leads to (4 + 2) cycloaddition products and/or spiro compounds. -(COLOMVAKOS,
