-The X-ray structure of the title compound (monoclinic, C2/c, Z=8) is determined in order to explain its unexpected 1 H NMR spectrum. The molecule is distorted from planarity as a consequence of a repulsive interaction between a lone pair of the oxygen atom and the juxtaposed proton.
